The difference you make…

Velindre has been providing specialist cancer treatments, care and support to 1.5 million people in South Wales and beyond since 1956. Velindre Charity aims to support Velindre Cancer Services to enhance healthcare and drive forward transformative research in Wales. We fund initiatives and activities that typically fall outside of NHS funding and other sources. The contributions you make can provide care, support and hope to patients and families when it’s needed the most. 

With your invaluable support, we can fund: 

  • Ground-breaking research, innovative care projects and clinical trials that put Velindre at the forefront of cancer care in Wales and offer to hope to patients and their loved ones, now and in the future. 
  • Cutting-edge equipment, new technologies and environments that provide patients with earlier access to new treatments as well as comfortable treatment rooms and family spaces at the centre. 
  • Supportive care and welfare initiatives that provide a lifeline to those facing the emotional, physical and practical impact of a cancer diagnosis, along with wellbeing support for Velindre’s staff. 
  • New staff roles, career development and study opportunities, so we can empower the Velindre workforce to advance their expertise to deliver exceptional patient care.
